Real life ships or RPF ships is a type of ship involving a real person. For example, the ship between youtubers Dan Howell and Phil Lester is often dubbed Phan.

Our wiki does have some guidelines for adding RPF ships; the following guidelines should be followed by all users. If your real-person ship page has been suddenly deleted, it is likely because it breaks one of the following policies.

What's allowed, and what isn't[]

Real-life ships allowed on the wiki Wiki Yes[]

  • Actor ships (like Cockles)
  • Youtuber ships (like Phan)
    • subscriber count for each person should be above 100,000

  • Ships involving celebrities

Real-life ships not allowed on the wiki Wiki No[]

General policies[]

No tinhatting

In fandom, a tinhat is a person who believes that their favorite celebrities are really a couple, forced keep their relationship a secret. Articles on the wiki should not endorse tinhatting; this means that non-canon RPF ship articles should not state 'they are real' and should not contain a list of 'hints' to why they are actually a couple. Discussion of tinhatting is allowed in the fanon part of the article.
For more information on what tinhatting is, see the Tinhat article on Fanlore.
