RinPana is the femslash ship between Rin Hoshizora and Hanayo Koizumi from the Love Live! fandom.
Canon[]
Rin and Hanayo have been best friends since they were kids, and Rin is proud of Hanayo's love of idols. Rin is the only one who calls Hanayo Kayo-chin. One day Rin drags Hanayo to the Track Club, but Hanayo really wants to come to μ's first concert, so she escapes, and Rin follows back after her.
Later, Rin asks Hanayo what club she's going to join, but Hanayo still hasn't decided. Rin figures that Hanayo wants to join the idol club, but Hanayo says it's not true. But Rin can tell it is because she knows that Hanayo plays with her fingers when she lies. Rin puts a finger to Hanayo's lips to quiet her protests and offers to go with her to the upperclassmen. Rin tells her she's really cute and would be a fan favourite. Hanayo is still hesitant, so she asks Rin to join with her. Rin apologises saying that kind of thing isn't for her, making Hanayo a little sad.
The next day. Rin finds Hanayo talking with Maki. Rin tells Hanayo she needs to go talk to the upperclassmen and starts tugging her arm. Maki and Rin start fighting over what would be best for her, and Hanayo ends up getting dragged to the rooftop by the two of them. Rin and Maki give her a push. They also end up joining as well. The next morning, when Rin sees Hanayo with contacts instead of glasses, she says she looks really cute.
While the second years are on a school trip, Rin is voted the temporary leader. Rin has doubts about her abilities, so Hanayo does her best to uplift Rin and show support. A heavy storm keeps the second years from being able to return in time for their next performance, so Rin is designated as the center instead of Honoka, who will wear a wedding style of dress, but she feels she isn't fit for it and passes the role to Hanayo. On the day of the performance, Rin is confused why she was given the center's dress to wear while Hanayo wore a groom outfit along with everyone else. Hanayo tells Rin that she originally took the role from her because she thought she was overwhelmed, but now she needs to give Rin a push like Rin did with her in episode 4.
School Idol Movie[]
While in New York, Rin and Hanayo look outside at the city at night. They talk about how they're pretty far from home. Rin asks Hanayo if she's feeling homesick and Hanayo says just a bit. Rin leans against Hanayo and Rin says she's warm.
Love Live! School idol diary[]
School idol diary shows that Rin was very popular with the girls at her previous school receiving chocolates and confessions of love from other girls and from Hanayo's expression it seems to bother her. After Rin became jealous when she thought a girl was going to give Hanayo chocolates, Rin confesses to Hanayo and Hanayo kisses her in response, albeit off-frame.
In another installment of Love Live! School Idol Diary: ch9 Rin and Kitties, childhood Rin and Hanayo are hanging out on a snowy day when they hear kittens meowing from a shed. They make a few attempts to rescue the kittens, and when Rin starts to panic Hanayo calms her down. They give then a blanket before they pull them out from under the shed with a shovel. Rina and Hanayo are in awe of how cute the kittens are, but Rin starts sneezing when she pets the kittens. Rin tells them "Nya" in an effort to calm them down. In the end, despite Rin and Hanayo's nursing, only 3 of the 5 kittens survived. Since then, Rin always says Nya at the end of her sentences.
School idol festival ALL STARS[]
In Hanayo's side story "Until Now and From Now On", Hanayo and Rin spend some time together. Rin is happy they took a detour because it means that they can spend more time together. Hanayo remembers the park they used to play in all the time when they were little, and Rin suggests stopping there to play a bit. Rin immediately rushes off for the swings, and Hanayo runs after her. Hanayo worries that Rin is swinging too hard, but then realizes Rin did the same when she was younger, and just like now, Hanayo felt cowardly and tried to get Rin to stop. However, Rin doesn't think Hanayo's a coward anymore, since she became a school idol. Rin tells Hanayo to have more confidence. Hanayo appreciates that, and says Rin has always been kind to her. Rin replies by saying that Hanayo has always been cute, including now, embarrassing Hanayo. The two then spend some time swinging together.
In Hanayo's side story "Clovers for Two", Rin and Hanayo are hanging out in Rin's room, when Rin shows Hanayo some photos. Hanayo recognizes them from when they spent time at a specific park together. Hanayo says Rin is small and adorable in the photos, to which Rin replies that it's not as cute as Hanayo. Rin also shows Hanayo a four-leaf clover that she pressed after they searched for and found one together. Rin tells Hanayo that she made a wish on the clover for the two of them to stay together forever, and that she thinks the wish came true. Rin also says they're going to be together in the future, for years and years to come.
In Rin's side story "Your Choice of Ramen", Rin takes Hanayo along with the protagonist to eat at a ramen restaurant. Rin and Hanayo both get hungry from Rin talking about ramen.

RinPana is a popular ship in the Love Live fandom, and both Rin and Hanayo's most popular ships. It doesn't have many large rival ships, but the most notable are MakiPana and RinMaki. The two being first years and childhood friends helped them have a stronger bond than other pairings. Rin's energetic, impulsive behavior compliments Hanayo's more reserved and hesitant nature. With both constantly looking out for the other and knowing how to cheer them up, it makes a wholesome ship.
